Back2School SM Campaign
Problem Statement
The back-to-school season was underway, and Otakutique had a surplus of both new and older school-related anime products (e.g., pens, backpacks, notebooks). These needed to sell out by the end of September, as demand for such items would significantly decline afterward.
Client
Otakutique – Anime Goodies Store
Target Audience
Final-year high school and university students in Cameroon who are anime fans
Campaign Duration:
Mid-August to End-September 2023
Objective : Increase sales of school-related anime merchandise during the back-to-school season, focusing on both new arrivals and discounted older stock.
My Role and Contributions
Campaign Concept:
I conceptualized and branded the campaign as “Back2School Otakutique” to align with the season and resonate with the target audience.
- Design and Content Creation:
Designed 20 product-specific flyers for both Facebook and Instagram. 10 flyers promoted new products (e.g., Naruto pencils, themed backpacks). 10 flyers highlighted older products on discount to encourage quick turnover.
2. Created clear, engaging post copy in both French and English, focusing on:
Product features, Price and contact details, Urgency through limited stock and exclusive back-to-school deals.
3. Ad Campaign Strategy: Developed a Facebook Leads Ad Campaign targeting: Final-year high school students, University students. Specific interests: Anime fandoms, Naruto, Attack on Titan, Tokyo Ghoul, and more. Optimized ad targeting based on age, location, and fandom interests to maximize ROI.
Results
- Generated significant engagement on social media, particularly on Facebook.
- Increased in-store and online inquiries about products by over 50%.
